Richarlison and one of his elite teammates have been tipped to depart Tottenham Hotspur this summer, despite Ange Postecoglou’s promising new venture.
After paying Everton £50 million up front and another £10 million in possible add-ons to acquire Richarlison in July 2022, Tottenham made history by paying more than any player before or after. Having to play wide for long stretches of time playing second fiddle to Harry Kane were two of the biggest obstacles the Brazilian striker faced in his first season in North London.
Postecoglou has had to start Son Heung-min or Richarlison up front this season due to Kane’s departure for Bayern Munich last summer. The latter had a remarkable scoring streak from December 10 to February 3, netting nine goals in eight Premier League appearances.

Several teams in the Saudi Pro League have shown interest in signing Richarlison. Rumors circulated that Saudi clubs were planning to make a hefty play for him during the January transfer window, but nothing came of it.
On the other hand, the Saudi Pro League is planning a massive summer transfer window with the hopes of acquiring Richarlison, Mo Salah of Liverpool, and Kevin de Bruyne of Manchester City.
The Saudis see Richarlison as a possible “marquee signing,” according to the most recent report from The Telegraph, since he is 26 years old and entering his peak years, not his twilight years.

That being said, they’re prepared to take a new tack in their pursuit of the player’s transfer to the Middle East.
Among the interesting teams named in the article as potential bidders for Richarlison is Al-Ittihad. Despite his desire to return to Europe, Al-Ittihad already had Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema on their roster. Thus, Richarlison may start in place of the Frenchman up front.
Both Cristian Romero and Richarlison aspired to
The former Everton hero will need a major offer to leave Tottenham, but Postecoglou is a tremendous admirer of him.
Not only has Richarlison been linked with a departure, but so have other prominent Spurs stars. Real Madrid is reportedly interested in signing Cristian Romero, a defender from Spain.
With David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, and Nacho Fernandez all being over 30 years old, the Spanish giants must strengthen their defense for the future. They think that Romero, a center back for Spurs, is “elite” and that he and Eder Militao would make a fantastic defensive pairing.
After a successful loan stay of a season, Spurs invested £42.5 million to buy Romero in August 2022.
Spurs will do all in their power to hold on to the Argentine, but Real Madrid may make a massive bid for him. Two of Postecoglou’s key defenders, Romero and Micky van de Ven, have been outstanding this season.
