When the summer transfer market opens in June, Tottenham is allegedly planning to sign versatile defender Ferdi Kadioglu from Fenerbahce.
After an encouraging first season in command, Ange Postecoglou will likely spend the summer working to further mold his team into one that can contend for titles on a regular basis.
Postecoglou knows his Spurs team is far from perfect, but Saturday’s dreadful performance against Fulham resulted in a 3-0 loss, hurting their hopes of finishing in the top four.
After the craven cottage disaster, he did say to the press, “It’s part of our growth.” Go through the suffering so you may grow.

Even though it was a terrible day at work, we refuse to accept it. The first half was plenty. Our usual standards weren’t met. Our performance was lacking in energy. We can’t be ourselves without it.
With 42 goals allowed in 28 games, Tottenham’s defense is the worst in the league. However, they have been hindered by two hamstring injuries suffered by the great Micky van de Ven.
Their interest in Kadioglu was disclosed in a Sunday HITC article, so Postecoglou is keeping his options open when it comes to acquiring defensive reinforcements.

According to reports, Spurs and Wolves are both interested in signing the 24-year-old, who has also been linked to Arsenal. Postecoglou is looking for a player who can provide greater support to Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie, as well as keep them motivated and performing at a high level.
According to reports, the Australian is not very pleased with Emerson Royal’s offerings, and Ben Davies is more effective playing on the left side of a back three rather than in an inverted left-back role.
With Kadioglu at the helm, Udogie and Porro are in danger.
This is where Kadioglu comes in; like another Tottenham target, Kyle Walker-Peters, the Turkey international can play either fullback position.
The article goes on to say that Tottenham are interested in signing Kadioglu because of his stellar play this season in both fullback positions for Istanbul.
Kadioglu is technically proficient and at ease with the ball since he began his career as an attacking midfielder.
Because of this, he is a perfect match for Postecoglou’s style of play, in which his inverted full-backs occupy center midfield in an effort to outnumber the opponent.
It would be really helpful for Postecoglou to have Kadioglu on the bench so that he can cover both Udogie and Porro.
There is no mention of a possible transfer fee for the Fenerbahce player, although his current Transfermarkt valuation is €20 million.
When Tottenham return to play on March 30, they will host Luton Town in an attempt to get back on track.
