New, previously unseen footage of last year’s violent incident outside Villa Park has been made public by the police.
In an effort to apprehend four individuals sought in connection with the melee that occurred during Aston Villa’s match against Legia Warsaw, the footage has been made public by the West Midlands Police.
Even though they had to corral and disperse supporters outside the stadium before the game on November 30, 2023, officers endured 90 minutes of continuous violence.
The incident resulted in several arrests and caused minor injuries to five policemen, two police dogs, and two police horses.
The police reported zero incidents involving Aston Villa supporters and did not make any arrests among home fans.
According to Detective Sergeant James Birtles, who was part of the squad formed to investigate the violence, the chaos that occurred that night was truly terrible.
We have interviewed several police officers and seen cop videos, body cams, and drone footage documenting the brutality they encountered.
Bristol, Somerset, and Leicester have all seen more arrests since the disturbance. These individuals are currently free on bond as we negotiate with the Crown Prosecution Service to press charges.
We think these four males may have been engaged in the chaos that night, and we’re now seeking the public to help us identify them.
“It’s not clear if they are based in the UK or abroad, and we are continuing to work with law enforcement agencies in Poland and beyond as our work to bring people to justice continues.”

Among the charges against the four individuals is assault on an emergency personnel and violent disorder. They are currently awaiting trial.
A man who was apprehended that evening had a prior conviction for narcotics possession; another was found guilty of weapon possession and handed a four-year football suspension.
